100 Words: Rise and Fall

Swell of waves
I don’t savor it anymore
don’t wanna pay for it anymore
up, down
inside out you turn and twist me
You dunno how much you missed me
what’s the point of those misty eyes
Finally realized
swingsets make me sick
sick enough to not pick
merry go rounds
around and around
Get a little less up
and a little more down
Looking more for steady
maybe I’m not ready
maybe I grew out of every desire but stable
I’m not able
to be as carefree
as you want me
to be every day
what’s it matter anyway

About Catastrophe Jones

Wretched word-goblin with enough interests that they're not particularly awesome at any of them. Terrible self-esteem and yet prone to hilarious bouts of hubris. Full of the worst flavors of self-awareness. Owns far too many craft supplies. Will sing to you at the slightest provocation.
