100 Words: Acceptance

We believe
we are whole
We believe
we are a universe unto ourselves
And I say to you,

I say unto you,
that we are nothing but waters,
nothing but blankness,
nothing but loss and darkness and emptiness.

I say this to you
that you might put down the burden
of misery you carry,
believing you should feel more
than what you feel you are.
I say this to you
that you might let go
of the heaviness that is hope,
and instead fill yourself
with the lightness that is acceptance.

Accept that you are nothing,
and finally be free.

About Catastrophe Jones

Wretched word-goblin with enough interests that they're not particularly awesome at any of them. Terrible self-esteem and yet prone to hilarious bouts of hubris. Full of the worst flavors of self-awareness. Owns far too many craft supplies. Will sing to you at the slightest provocation.
