Flesh

Body
Corpse
Prison
It’s all the same–
just rot there
while your head and heart disagree
while the world moves on around you
while you wait for something that cannot ever come
Yes
Yes
Yes, my —
Shhhh
It’s all right
I am the only one
who knows you
and will love you
the way you
need
(Just like I need)
Please
pick me?

About Catastrophe Jones

Wretched word-goblin with enough interests that they're not particularly awesome at any of them. Terrible self-esteem and yet prone to hilarious bouts of hubris. Full of the worst flavors of self-awareness. Owns far too many craft supplies. Will sing to you at the slightest provocation.

I love the way your mind works, mostly because I don’t know where it’s going or where this stuff comes from. But I’m so glad you get it out here so that I can read it.

  2. Adan Ramie says:

The longing here is palpable. The offhand “It’s all the same” clashes so well with the end – the plea for love. Amazing.
