For Trent (And Bill, and the people who read the refrigerator note but don't understand it…)

Maybe because
it is spring
I am naked
and whitegreen,
newly formed
and forming.
Maybe because
I want the wind
on my face
and at my back.
Maybe because
I am burned
by the sun
but need it
to blind me.
Or maybe
the taste of ashes
means I am
a phoenix, rising,
and now
it is time
to fly
again.

About Catastrophe Jones

Wretched word-goblin with enough interests that they're not particularly awesome at any of them. Terrible self-esteem and yet prone to hilarious bouts of hubris. Full of the worst flavors of self-awareness. Owns far too many craft supplies. Will sing to you at the slightest provocation.

And I am so glad that you are back. Hope you hit the heights that you are meant for, Jones. I will be watching and admiring.
