Wedding Vows

I don’t know if I will ever be
as magnificent as you promise me I am,
but I promise I will seek to find
the man you see in me.
I will seek to find the God you praise.
I will work to carve away
what of me is base and lesser.
I will work to burnish and polish
that of me that is power and brilliance,
and I promise to wreak
what wondrous havoc we desire,
and bring about an apocalypse
worthy of us both.

About Catastrophe Jones

Wretched word-goblin with enough interests that they're not particularly awesome at any of them. Terrible self-esteem and yet prone to hilarious bouts of hubris. Full of the worst flavors of self-awareness. Owns far too many craft supplies. Will sing to you at the slightest provocation.
