Tell Me You Know

I have no need of your misery;
I am creating my own in mixed media —
the watercolor of tears
and the tempera of blood,
glitter and confetti
for every single fake celebration of life.
Glue it to the canvas
with the spit I plan
to put in your eye.

My agonies are artistic;
I want to share
their distress with you.
Look me in the eye
and tell me you know
how I feel.
Tell me you know.

I need someone else to know.

About Catastrophe Jones

Wretched word-goblin with enough interests that they're not particularly awesome at any of them. Terrible self-esteem and yet prone to hilarious bouts of hubris. Full of the worst flavors of self-awareness. Owns far too many craft supplies. Will sing to you at the slightest provocation.
